Updated blight alert
Alerts from BlightWatch have been recorded in the TW11 and KT1 postcode areas.
As of 15th August, there have been two full "Smith periods" - i.e., at least two consecutive days with minimum temperature of 10ºC or above and at least 11 hours per day of relative humidity greater than 90%. These are the perfect conditions for blight.
No reports of blight on the RPA site yet - but there is an increased risk to those of us who grow potatoes and tomatoes. Vigilance is now more necessary than ever.

Warning regarding Aminopyralid
In July, Garden Organic put out an update regarding the dangers of Aminopyralid. Click below for an information sheet on Garden Organic's website:
Herbicide Contamination of Manure and composts
Free manure and woodchips
Regular deliveries of royal manure and woodchips are now arriving. Help yourself from plot 126.
The woodchips are ideal for paths but shouldn't be used as a mulch on beds until they have completely composted down - which may take up to six months.
What to do this month
